Horned One come!
Lord of winds, Lord of the dance
Sun child, Winter-born king
Stag and stallion, Goat and bull
Guardian of the gate
We invite you to our circle
Move us, touch us, change us.
Lady of the Moon
Lunar Goddess
Puller of seas
We greet your celestial jewel at the waxing of its powers
with a rite in your honor
Lady, you are known by many names
Aphrodite, Kerridwen, Diana, Isis and many more.
With your Lord by your side, we give you due honor and invite you to join with
us on this your special night.
We will hear the words of the Great Mother:
I am She who watches over thee
Mother of you all
I am at the beginning of life and at its end
Maiden, Mother and Crone
Wherever you may be , if you seek me know that I am always here
For I abide deep within you.
Look then, within yourself if you would seek me
. I am Life and I am Love.
Find me and rejoice, for love is my music and laughter is my song
Love is the law and Love is the Bond

Earth Meditation
(Hopefully, your rite is outside
If not, use a potted plant or simply a bowl filled with earth)
Sitting on the ground, place hands on dirt beneath you
Visualize the Earth as a bluish-white sphere of energy
The Earth is our home
From its surface we pull food and healing plants
animals graze atop it
We feel its strength beneath us
Feel your energy moving into the Earth and block out all thoughts of the ravages
to which we have subjected our planet
Feel yourself planting roots deep into the Earth, lending her your energy and
strength while drawing strength from her.
Picture yourself rooting deep, deep, past the layers of soil and down into the heat
and warmth of the inner Earth.
Meditate until you feel the strength coursing through you, to and from the Earth.
Now is the time to give thanks to the God and Goddess for that which sustains
us.
